Age 68, of Birmingham, Alabama, was born June 11, 1957, and passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026.
He was a dirt bike and car enthusiast. He enjoyed the annual Barber’s vintage festival and the comradery with friends. He was devoted to his family and especially his nephews, which he enjoyed being an integral part of their lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Hazel Franklin. He is survived by his sisters Karen Franklin Price of Birmingham, Alabama and Susan Franklin Chaffin (Mark) of Orange Beach, Alabama; two nephews, Jacob Chaffin (Grace) of Spanish Fort, Alabama and Justin Chaffin of Birmingham, Alabama; several cousins. The immediate family will hold a private ceremony. Donations may be made the American Cancer Society.
A funeral service will be held at Ridout's Forest Crest Cemetery, located at 5730 US-78, Birmingham, AL 35210, United States. The service is scheduled for January 21, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
