He was a charter member of CrossPoint Church and a former member of First Baptist Church of Center Point.
Mr. Dykes was previously employed as Project Manager for Shook and Fletcher Mechanical for over 20 years.
He is survived by his wife: Donna Dykes, son: Blake Dykes, daughters: Sara Beth Dykes and Anna Claire Dykes, parents: Gene and Marjorie Dykes, sisters: Denise (Ed) Davis and Patti (Ted) Hoxsie and Numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 17th, 2013, 2:00 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. Family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Dr. Ryan Whitley will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to CrossPoint Church Building Fund.
