Robbie Wayne Dowling

Robert “Robbie” Wayne Dowling passed away on Sunday, June 7th, 2026, at the age of 70. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed by all whose lives he touched. Robbie was a natural tinkerer and problem solver, quick to learn about how things work and equally quick in using that knowledge to make them work again. He instilled the value of these qualities in his sons, and he generously shared them with the many hundreds to whom he was happy to lend a hand.  Robbie was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Bobbie Dowling, whom he loved dearly. He leaves behind their sons, Randy and his wife, Grace, Ray and his wife, April, his brother, Rusty, and his adored grandchildren, Ryan, Colton, and Carsyn. 

Visitation will be held at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235, US, on June 11, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235, US, on June 11, 2026, at 1:00 pm, and a Committal Service will be held at Ridout's Forest Hill Cemetery, 431 60th St N, Birmingham, AL 35212, US, on June 11, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
