Robert ran track for the Crossett School System and held an unbeaten record in the 400-meter race. He later continued his athletic excellence by running for the Army Track Team at Ft. Rucker, AL, where he consistently won. Robert also played Flag Football for the Army Team and was known as their fastest running back. He cheered for his favorite NFL team, the Green Bay Packers, and enjoyed watching the NBA’s Golden State Warriors play.
Robert was kind-hearted, generous, and always willing to help those in need. He loved entertaining friends, grilling, hosting Sunday dinners, bowling, cleaning cars, and playing cards. His warm spirit, hearty laughter, and joyful presence made every gathering richer.
For 30 years, Robert faithfully served at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Seaside, California, as a dedicated deacon under Pastors Rev. H. H. Lusk, Sr. and Rev. Harold H.
