Kirkland, Robert L., Sr. "PAW ", "PAWPAW", age 81 of Birmingham, AL went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 14, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Christine Darty Kirkland. He is survived by his two daughters, Minella Beck (Johnny) and Belinda Lacey (Tim); son, Robert L. Kirkland, Jr. (Theresa); five grandchildren, Chris Beck (Amy), Jeff Beck, Jennifer Barton (Eric), Matt Lacey (Katie) and Meagan Lacey; four great grandchildren, Anna Kate, Sarah Beth, Emma and Makenlee Beck; numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Visitation will be Friday, July 15, 2011 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 1 PM at Forest Hill Cemetery.The Reverend Matt Lacey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
