ROBERT E. McLAIN, age 90, of Hoover, AL. went to be with his Lord on Sunday, February, 3, 2013. He was preceded in death by his sons, Mike McLain and Ray McLain; parents, Ed and Era McLain and brother, Glenn McLain. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Louise McLain; daughter, Patricia Enzor and husband, Mark Enzor; grandchildren, Alyssa, Kacee, and Heath Enzor; sister, Frances McLain; sister-in-law, Margaret McLain; niece, Meg Hightower and husband Price Hightower; niece, Maggie Hightower and nephew, Will Hightower. Bob was born in Bolling, Alabama, January, 28, 1923. He was a graduate of Birmingham Southern after serving in the Army during World War II. For 43 years, he enjoyed his work as a financial adviser with Merrill Lynch. Bob was an active member of Ruhama Baptist, South Roebuck Baptist and Hunter Street Baptist churches. He served his community through the Rotary and Optimist Clubs. Always loving people,he was an encouragement to all who knew him with his unfailing joy and optimism. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 5 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel at Hunter Street Baptist Church. Visitation will proceed the service, starting at 1:00. In lieu of flowers, a memorial gift may be sent to Hunter Street Baptist building fund, 2600 John Hawkins Parkway, Hoover, AL. 34244.
