Bobby was born February 19, 1949. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Leola Shoemaker, sister Peggy Shoemaker Miller, brothers, George Shoemaker, Johnny Shoemaker. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Donna Jean Clayton Shoemaker; sons, Brent (Michelle), Bryan (Jen), Barry (Vanessa), 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Bobby was a loving husband, father and Pawpaw. He enjoyed Alabama football, auto racing and attending car shows on the weekends, in his beloved 1969 Chevrolet Impala SS 427. He was an avid car enthusiast and an automotive encyclopedia.
A memorial fellowship will be held at Grace Life Baptist Church multipurpose room, 5911 Old Tuscaloosa Hwy, McCalla, AL 35111, on Friday, June 19th at 1:00 pm. Parking available in the rear parking lot. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Heart Association.
