Robert Dewey Smith, age 63 of Birmingham passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Mr. Smith retired from Bellsouth/AT&T in 2007 after 36 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, Ruben “Buddy” Smith and mother, Polly Smith. He is survived by his wife, Peggie Lynne Smith; daughter, Sara Barnett (Justin); brother, Doug Smith (Linda); sister, Sue Steelmon (Kenneth) and Teresa Ingle (Jerry); grandchildren, Austin and Tyler Barnett. Visitation will be Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11:30 am until the service beginning at 1:00 pm with Jack Clary officiating and burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
