Summers, Robert L., age 85 of Birmingham, AL went home to be with the Lord on September 11, 2012. He retired from the railroad after many years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Vaster Summers; daughter, Teressa L. Summers. Robert L. is survived by his children, Sandra L. Turner, Rudee L. Summers, Julia L. Summers and Robert L Summers; sister, Wanda Bacon and a very special friend, Peggy Barrow. A visitation will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 12 Noon until service time at 1 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
