Robert Franklin Vest, Jr. “Bob”, 74, passed away on December 9, 2021. Bob was born on March 7, 1947 in Birmingham, Alabama to Robert Franklin Vest, Sr. and Bettie Robertson Vest. He was preceded in death by his father, and brothers, Bernie Vest and Kevin Vest. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 46 years, Gail Vest, Tuscaloosa, AL; mother, Bettie Vest, Birmingham, AL; brother, David Vest, Trussville, AL; daughter, Beth Vest Briggs, Birmingham, AL; daughter, Shay Nicosia, Lake View, AL; granddaughter, Mia Briggs, Birmingham, AL; and his “Little Buddy”, Norbert.
Bob graduated from Shade’s Valley High School and went on to attend and graduate from the University of Alabama in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany as a radio operator. He gladly served his community in his career as a Psychologist at Partlow in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Bob loved deeply, especially his family and friends. He enjoyed flying drones as a hobby. He could entertain people for hours telling his life stories.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a memorial donation to either the Crenshaw Animal Tails, 408 Lee Street, Luverne, AL 36049; or the charity of your choice.
Graveside services will on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 2pm at Elmwood Cemetery. Block 47.
