Rose Wegent

Wegent, Rose M. Finocchio, age 87, passed away, May 23, 2012.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul,Sr. and Providenzia Finocchio; her husband, Sam Wegent; brothers, Paul Finocchio, Jr. and Joe Finocchio; and sister, Madeline Finocchio.  She is survived by her children, Nellie Waits, Frank Wegent (Debra), Rosanne Fowler (Ronald); grandchildren, Anne Wren (Jeff), Chris Waits (Sharon), Sammy and Patrick Wegent, Michelle Hyche (Stephen), and Jennifer Stuenkel (Matt); great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emma, and Joseph Waits, Peyton Hyche, and Isabella Stuenkel; brother, Sam Finocchio; and many nieces and nephews.  She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister who always put her family first and loved having all of her family together.  After her husband Sam died at an early age, she continued to run the family grocery and raise her children.  She always put others first and compassionately cared for the needs of others.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and a member of the Our Lady of the Rosary Altar Guild.  The family will receive friends from 9 am- 10 am, Saturday, May 26, 2012 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bessemer.  The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am; burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
