Roxie attended West End High School and graduated in 1963. She attended Jacksonville State College for one year. She worked several different jobs from; Mrs. Todd's Cafeteria, Yelding's Clothing, and Alabama Power Company where she retired in 2008. She became very active in local and state Parkinson's organizations. She was invited to speak at several Parkinson's conferences. Locations were; Orlando by the Florida Parkinson's State Association, later to University of Wisconsin, University of Michigan, and California Parkinson's Foundation.
Roxie is survived by her loving husband; Larry, son Ed, daughter in law Dana, and triplet grandchildren, Max, Madalyn, and Tucker. She is preceded in death by her mother Lois and father Hilton.
Visitation will be held at Bluff Park United Methodist Church on Thursday December 5, 2024 from 10:30am-12 Noon. Funeral Service will follow immediately after, starting at 12:00 Noon. Reverend Reid Crotty officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. John's Ridouts Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel will be handling the funeral arrangements.
