Ruby R. Blankenship

BLANKENSHIP, RUBY R. FREDERICK Blankenship, Ruby R. Frederick, age 90 of Birmingham passed away Friday, April 6, 2012. She was born July 1, 1921 to Joseph Cleveland Ray and Stella Wilson Ray in Birmingham, Al. She retired in 1992 from Baptist Montclair Hospital where she worked as a Registered Nurse. Ruby was a charter member of the Brookview Wesleyan Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Blankenship; a grandson, Matthew Frederick; a sister, Stella Whitley; and her brother, J.C. Ray. She is survived by her loving family, a son, Robert Frederick of Atlanta, Ga.; step-son, Ronn Blankenship; her daughters, Sandy Cook and Fran Sulkosky of Birmingham; 3 granddaughters, and 2 great granddaughters. Visitation will be Monday at Ridout's Trussville Chapel from 11 until 12:30 PM with graveside services at 1:00 PM in Forest Crest Cemetery. Rev. Scott Williams will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to the Hephzibah Children's Home, 6601 Zebulon Road, Macon, Ga. 31220. >
