Runetta Todd Cobbs, was a lifelong resident of Trussville, AL. She was born on January 2, 1940 to R.C. and Eunice Roper Todd. She was the youngest of their six children. She graduated from Hewitt High School in 1959.
After graduation she went on to work for the Ralston Purina Company's Trussville location which was later bought out by Gold Kist Poultry, Inc. She remained in that position until 1991 when she became the Sales Coordinator until her retirement in 2004. Being bored with retirement, she worked part time with America's Auto Auction in Moody. She and her husband, Avery, also bought and street “rodded” old cars and won multiple awards with each one at various car shows throughout the southeast including the Birmingham World of Wheels.
She was a strong and independent woman with character, integrity and an absolute heart of gold.
She loved spending time with her friends and family, and she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whose arms she is resting in today.
Runetta was preceded in death by her loving husband, Avery C. Cobbs; her parents, and her siblings, Ray H. Todd, Robert G. Todd, C. Reid Todd, Ruth Todd Landmon, Peggy Todd Sittre.
