Russell Milstead, 75 went to be with his Lord on Thursday, October 6, 2011. A native of Mississippi, Mr. Milstead retired from the City of Birmingham from the Parks and Recreations Department. Known as Russ to his golfing buddies, he was an avid golfer who enjoyed a good round no matter what the weather. He is survived by his wife, Marie Milstead of 33 years, one son, Rusty (April) Milstead, one daughter, Anne Milstead, two uncles, Herbert (Sadie) Crithers and Bill Crithers, one brother, Bill Milstead (Debra), one grandchild, Tate Milstead. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 10, 2011 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. The family will receive friends from 9;30 to the service time.
