TURNER, SAMUEL B. “CLAY”, age 89, of Pinson, went to his heavenly home Sunday, April 8, 2012. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He was retired from U.S. Steel. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Onita Thrasher Turner. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Billie Turner; daughter, Bonnie McGill (Bob); son, Charlie Turner; step-daughters, Dale McCain (David) and Julie Meads (Jim); sister, Naomi Reeves; grandchildren, Todd McGill (Brianna), Kelly McGill, Brett Turner, Huck McElveen (Millie), Kellie Steele and Jared Meads; great grandchildren, Grant, Brittany, Sammy, Alex, Aaron and Stewart. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 12-1 at First Baptist Church of Pinson with his service beginning at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Nixon Chapel in Horton, AL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Pinson.
