Sandra Monroe Cairns, age 75 of Birmingham, Alabama passed away peacefully surrounded by her family September 4, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dennis F Monroe and Eloise Bayles Monroe.
Sandra was a lifelong resident of Birmingham where she attended Crestline Elementary School and Shades Valley High School. She retired from Acosta Sales of Alabama where she worked for over 30 years.
Sandra is survived by her husband John “Robert” Cairns. Her daughters Cynthia Boone Watson, Laura Boone Graham (Troup) and Margaret Holly Boone, her step-daughters Cindy Cairns Evans (Joe) and Susan Cairns Hatcher (Allen) 10 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren and her brother Dennis F Monroe Jr. of Albuquerque New Mexico. And her special little dog “Honey”.
Funeral Services will be held Friday September 9, 2016 at 11:00AM at John’s Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel with internment following at Elmwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9-11 before the service.
Donations of honor may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the American Lung Association.
