She retired from Chalkville Elementary School lunchroom, where she loved serving “her” children. She was also a loyal Alabama fan. She loved her “Crimson Tide”. She was a very loving and caring person who will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Drewey L. Ware, her mother, Willie Mae “Nannie” Ware, sister Nena Speakman and brother Jimmy L. Ware.
She is survived by her loving partner of 17 years, Buddy Blankenship, daughter Renee Meridith, son David Meridith, sister Bobbie Sue (Ray) Taylor, “second daughter” Caroline Bearden, whose grandchildren she called her own, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Service will be Tues. April 11th, 2017 at 12: 00 at Clay United Methodist Cemetery, 6790 Old Springville Road, Clay Al. 35048. Bro. Gresh Harbuck Officiating.
