Sandra Lee Mason

Sandra Lee Mason, 76 of Alexander City passed away on January 5, 2024. She was a native of Hamilton, AL, but spent most of her life in the Birmingham area. She was born on February 20, 1948 to Echord and Helen Maxcy. She was a graduate of Hewitt Trussville High School class of 1966 and attended Jefferson State Jr. College. Sandra retired from McWane Pipe in Tarrant, AL after 10 years of service.

Sandra was a loving mother, grandmother and devoted Christian. She was an advocate for animals and loved to travel. She especially enjoyed visiting the beach and spending time with family.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband of 10 years, Johnny Marion Mason and her parents. She is survived by her children, Shelley Mason and Johnny Wayne Mason; two grandchildren, Marlee Mason White (Peyton) and Maegan Mason; a great grandson on the way, Pierce White; her brother, Wayne Maxcy and her sister, Lisa Taylor (Mark); her niece, Jennifer Taylor and great nephew, Ryder Taylor.

A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held on Sunday, January 12th at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with visitation for friends and family held one hour prior. A private interment will take place at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East at a later date.
