Sanford Falkner

Sanford Falkner, 100 went to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 31, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 Years, Ruth Falkner and one son, Allen Falkner. Sanford centered his life around his family and his church where he was a charter member and a Deacon of Clearview Baptist Church. He retired from Bowman Transportation. Being the first resident of Sunrise Ridge Assisted Living, the staff and residents considered him, “The Mayor”. Sanford is survived by two daughters, Patricia Grimsley (Jerry) and Cynthia Johnson (Chris), three sons, Kevin Falkner (Jenni), Michael Falkner (Patricia) and Phillip Falkner (Kay), Allen’s wife, Diane Falkner, fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and his special niece Sue Trammell, several nieces and nephews, along with the caring staff of Sunrise Ridge Assisted Living. Rev. Robbie Weems will officate funeral services at 12:00 Noon Monday, February 4, 2013 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel, with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 3, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
