Mrs. Powell was born in Moundville, AL to Sidney and Sadie Davis, but lived the majority of her life in Irondale, Alabama. She was a member of Brookview Wesleyan Church in Irondale.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 56 years, Ray Powell and is survived by, her son, Dan Powell; brothers, Edgar, Charles, Bob and Albert Davis; sisters, Mary Lee, Jean Foster and Peg Ann Lewis; and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, November 12th from 6 - 8 p.m. Her burial will be in Forest Crest Cemetery, where the family will have a private graveside service.
