HARTLEY, SARAH IMOGENE SMITH 86, a resident of Hoover, Al passed away on Friday, June 17th, 2016. Sarah was one of 11 children born to Pate and Elda Rader Smith. She was raised in Calera, Al and retired from BellSouth with over 35 years of service. Sarah was preceeded in death by her sons James Wyndell Hartley & Robert Allen Hartley. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Sheila Kimbrough (David) and Darion Hartley; grandchildren James Pate Hartley (Lynn), Adrian Curtis Hartley and her only Granddaughter and namesake Sarah Hartley Browning who called her MyNanny ; Great Grandchildren Christopher Hartley, Jake Hartley, Jennifer Hartley and Julie Hartley; Sisters Betty Banks & Edna Pierce; a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Sarah loved each and everyone of you. Her eyes were donate to Alabama Eye Foundation for Macular Degeneration research. She will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alabama Eye Foundation or American Heart Association.
