Savannah Parker-Ross of Hoover, Alabama, left our world on June 29, 2022. She had just turned 19 years old. She is survived by her Mother, Michele Parker of Hoover, Alabama, and her Father, James Bartley Ross of Navarre, Florida, her Grandparents, Reverend James T. and Nancy Ross of Navarre, Florida, and Michael D. and Joan W. Parker of Hoover, Alabama, her Sister, Jaqueline Parker, Aunts, Nicole Parker of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, Stephanie Coe of Birmingham, Alabama, Uncle and Aunt, Mr. Lance Ross and Shu-Ming Ross, and Cousins, Jennifer and Dennis Ross and Nicholas Ward, amongst others.
Savannah graduated from Hoover High School in 2021. While there, she played trumpet in the award-winning marching band, competition band, jazz band, concert band, and symphonic band. She also enjoyed sports and played soccer and softball, as well as taking/competing in karate growing up. Additionally, Savannah played basketball for her church, Shades Crest Baptist. Her hobbies included riding skateboards, playing on her Xbox, gaming, marvel comics, collecting Pokemon cards/Harley Davidson memorabilia, spending quality time with her dog, Louis, watching Auburn sports, watching Friends, cooking, & playing the guitar. She also enjoyed listening to her favorite artists, Shawn Mendes, Harry Styles, & Taylor Swift & was taking online college courses. She was a Line Chef at Caya Coco downtown before she passed.
She was the most positive little light to all of her friends and family & loved on them unapologetically. She would always leave sweet notes (even to strangers), pick flowers, & do for others. Her positivity & energy towards others was nothing short of infectious & she was loved by all that had the pleasure to know her. Her ultimate goal was to serve & to make others around her happy. To sum it up, she was a gift & a blessing to all that knew her. She knew her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, & we can only imagine the miraculous homecoming that she must have had.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to be made in her memory to The JED Foundation and/or Two By Two Animal Rescue.
If you are attending her service, please feel free to bring your favorite framed photo of your Savannah memories. She loved taking photos with her friends & family. There will be a table out front to place them on. The family will make sure you get them back if you place your contact information on the back of the frame/photo.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.johnsridoutselmwoodchapel.com for the Parker-Ross family.
