Shirley McLemore Chapin Sept. 9, 1935 – Mar. 7, 2015 Shirley McLemore Chapin, age 79, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday March 7, after a short illness. Shirley is preceded in death by two sons, Terry and James Chapin and sister Joyce. She is survived by her husband of 64 years Clarence Chapin, sons Gary ( Denise ) Chapin, Ralph ( Karen ) Chapin, Michael ( Robin ) Chapin, Curtis ( Carol ) Chapin, and Scott ( Anita ) Chapin and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 5 sisters and a brother. Shirley was a lifelong homemaker who loved her family very much. There will be a Celebration of Life 2 pm Friday March 13, 2015 at Elmwood Chapel with a visitation 1 hour prior. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
