Shirley R Vaughn

Shirley was born in Birmingham, Alabama. Later in life, Jack and Shirley moved closer to their daughter and family in Tucson, Arizona, then to Greenville, SC then finally back to Birmingham.

Shirley met Jackie and graduated from Ramsey High School. She was a cheerleader and he was a football player. They were high school sweethearts and married and enjoyed 70+ years together. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom, Kindergarten Director (Ridgecrest Baptist Church), and Church Secretary (Pinson First Baptist Church).

Shirley enjoyed traveling with Jackie, friends and family. They would hop in their van and tour the country.

They loved gatherings with friends, playing cards and putting on skits and even some magic tricks. They were devout members of two ballroom dance groups ...Concordia and the Vikings.

Her family will celebrate her life with visitation on Wednesday, Feb 4, 1026 from 10:30-11 AM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel 1500 Gadsden Hwy Birmingham AL with her service beginning at 11 AM.
