STEPHEN “STEVE” M. WRIGHT, age 71 of Irondale, passed away at his residence on Saturday, September 12, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Joyce Pilkinton. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Denise Tew Wright; daughters, Shelby Wood (Justin) and Danielle Allen (Josh); grandchildren, Jackson Wood, Fisher Allen and Ryleigh Allen; brother, Tommy Wright (Cathy); sisters, Glynda Grier (Carson) and Kelly Lloyd (Rick); brother-in-law, David Tew (Karen); and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Steve graduated from Banks High School class of 1975. He enjoyed camping (RV), fishing, hunting and golfing. Most of all, he loved his family especially his grandchildren. Steve retired from the U.S. Army and United Rentals. His family will celebrate his life with visitation on Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 12-1 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with his service beginning at 1:00 with Bro. Ken Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.
