Sylvia Marie Jones

Sylvia Ramey Jones, age 76 of Crane Hill, AL passed away on March 24, 2025. She was a native of Woodlawn, AL and was born on October 24, 1948 to John and Jessie Ramey. She graduated from Woodlawn High School class of 1966. She was a former member of 4th Ave Baptist Church.

Sylvia was a loving mother and grandmother. Sylvia dedicated her life to caring for others. She was a hard worker and will be remembered for her diligent work ethics. She loved to travel and spend time with family.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years, Daryl Jones; her parents and her two brothers, John Ramey, Jr. and Donald Ramey. She is survived by her children, Leigh Ann Bates (Terry) and Ryan Jones (Candace); Britnee Giles, Brody Jones, Joshua Freeman, Khloee Goodman and Elle Steele; her sister, Tawanah Cagle; her brother, Robert Ramey (Iris); nieces, Tamika Perrymon (Josh) and Teresa Rowan (Doug); nephews, Michael Ramey and Justin Ramey: great niece, Tiffani Guffey (Logan); great nephew, Blake Rowan (Abbie); great-great nieces and nephew, Natalie Guffey, Layla Rowan and Preston Guffey.

A visitation for Sylvia will be held on Sunday, March 30th at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. A chapel service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Following the chapel service a committal service will be held at Livingston Chapel Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. 16609 Co Rd 222 Crane Hill, AL 35053.
