
October 18, 2014 Tara Nabors Sudderth, PhD, CMA, CPA, ; May 17, 1946-October 18th, 2014; a native Alabamian, she graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1964; she went on to receive her Bachelor of Science Degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Birmingham Southern, her Masters Degree in Accounting from UAB, and PhD in accounting from the University of Mississippi. She was also a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant. She retired as a full Professor of Accounting at Birmingham Southern, where she held the Donald Bradscon Chair of Accounting and was Chair of the Accounting Department, and later was Dean of the MPPM Division. She was a nationally published author in the field of accounting. A loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, and a friend to many, she is survived by her husband, John W. Sudderth, her mother, Lorraine Hollis, her daughter, Deidra Sudderth Clark (Robert), two grandsons, William John (Jake) Clark and Robert Maxwell (Max) Clark , and three beloved step children, John W. Sudderth, Jr. (Elizabeth), Michael Sudderth (Chris) and Cynthia Sudderth Kenney (Val). Services will be at the Woodlawn United Methodist Church, 139 54th Street. No., B'Ham, AL, Thursday, Oct. 23rd, at 2:00 PM, (visitation 1:00-2:00 at the Church) with internment at Forest Hills Cemetery
