ANDERTON, THERESA MAE Surrendered to the Lord on Friday August 12, 2011. She was a lifelong resident of Birmingham and member of the St. Paul's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Edker Anderton and mother, Mary Emma Kelley and three brothers, Edward, Robert and John. Theresa graduated from St. Paul's High School in 1939; she entered into St. Vincent's nursing program and became a Registered Nurse. She dedicated her life to nursing at St. Vincent's until she retired in 1985. Theresa is survived by six nieces and one nephew. The family wishes to thank the Nurses and Aides at Greenbriar at the Altamont. Service will be held Tuesday August 16, 2011 at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel at 11:00 am, with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
