GODWIN, THOMAS JACKSON III “JACK”, age 59 of Pinson, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020. He is survived by his fiancé, Leigh Ann Hays; mother, Carolyn Phillips Godwin; father, Thomas Jackson Godwin Jr.; sister, Debra Godwin; brother, Shannon Godwin; nephews, Phillip and Ryan Godwin; niece, Amanda Godwin; step-daughters, Ashley Thompson and Heather Stromberger; and 5 step-grandchildren. Jack graduated from Huffman High School where he was a member of the Chansoniers. Music continued to be a large part of his life as an accomplished drummer and was ASCAP certified as a songwriter. Jack was a member of “Huffman’s Finest” musical group and co-created “The Drunk Uncles” CD. He was also a published author. Jack also played baseball and football in high school and earned his blackbelt in karate. He worked as an Electrical Estimator recently joining KBB Electric. Jack was known for his humor and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and making everyone laugh. His family will celebrate his life at a later time.
