REEVES, THURSTON LAMAR departed this life on the 8th of July, 2012 after a life celebration of 89 years. He was born in Sturgis, MS on June 6, 1923. He was a veteran of WW II and served under General Patton in the Third Army as an infantryman until being captured and held as a POW until the end of the war. Thurston was a successful businessman in the fire sprinkler industry. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Reeves; step-sons, Alan and Aaron Farrow; step-grandson, Andrew Farrow; his brother, Leon (Nell) Reeves; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10:00 am at Ridout's Trussville Chapel with burial to follow at Alabama National Cemetery at 12:30 pm. Bob Stephenson and Aaron Farrow officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Ridout's Trussville Chapel.
