She is survived by her sister June Howell, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, first cousin Evelyn Munroe and nephew Karl (Elizabeth) Howell. She is also survived by great nephew Jeremy Howell and great nieces Jennifer, Stephanie and Katie Howell.
She served in the US Navy (WAVES) 1953 – 1957, retired from the Social Security Administration in Birmingham in 1985 and was a member of South Highland Presbyterian Church.
Graveside service will be Wednesday June 6, 2012 at Ashville Cemetery in Ashville, Alabama with Ridout’s Trussville Chapel directing.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the SICU staff at St. Vincent’s East and Virginia’s care givers at Golden Living Center in Trussville.
In lieu of flowers the family request Memorials be made to South Highlands Presbyterian Church.
