SHORT, JOYCE Joyce was born December 1st, 1916 to her parents, E.H and Odessa Dixon Davis. She lived a full and rewarding life. Noteworthy accomplishments are, Sears retiree, Home Room Mother, PTA President, Girl Scout Leader, Seasoned Traveler, and a long time member of the Graysville United Methodist Church. Joyce and her husband, James Harry "Tooter" Short, had one daughter Carol Brewer who is already with them, and she leaves behind two daughters, Harriette Turner (Jimmy) and Janet Whitley, eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Services will be Friday September 17, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Mark Parris will officiate. The family wishes to extend, heartfelt gratitude to The Adams House and to Family Comfort Hospice, for the care they provided.
