

Walter L. Davis, 81 of Trussville AL passed from this world on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, but his goodness, courage and love remain. He was a tireless provider, humble and honest man. He was known for his infectious laugh and wry sense of humor. His kindness and generosity were deeply and sincerely felt by those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Ada Davis; sister, Christine Bennett and brother, Richard Davis. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Rosenell Davis; two children, John Michael Davis and Daniel Patrick Davis (Pam); two grandchildren, Natalie Davis and Nick Davis; sister, Pauline Gregory and several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends and also his beloved dog Charlie. He was retired from the Social Security Administration. He served In the U.S. Army during the Korean War era. He spent much of his spare time painting art which he enjoyed giving away to his friends and family. He was an avid golfer and his greatest regret was that he never had a hole in one. He also enjoyed many hours at the beach with his family. He was a beloved Husband, Dad and Papa. He will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 10- 11 a.m. at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home with graveside services following at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. The family request in lieu of flowers to make donations to the charity of your choice.
