Walter Maurice Roberson Jr., age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 2, 2023 at his residence. He was born June 2, 1943 in Jefferson County. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter M. Roberson Sr., mother, Lois F. Roberson and sister, Shirley Ann Roberson. He is survived by his lovely wife; Judi Roberson, brother; Randy E. Roberson, daughters; Tara Carter and Tessa Schifanella and multiple nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from the Alabaster School District as a devoted bus driver. He was a wood craftsman and loved Alabama football.
A public visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 1:00pm-2:00pm at Johns Ridout's Elmwood Chapel located at 800 Dennison Ave. SW Birmingham, Alabama 35211 followed by a chapel service at 2:00pm. Burial will follow immediately at Elmwood Cemetery with military honors.
