REDMOND, WANDA WEAR. Wanda Wear Redmond, 79, of Birmingham AL, passed away Monday June 23, 2014. She demonstrated her love for Christ as a wife, mother, and friend. She attended the University of Alabama. She retired from the Birmingham Federal Employees Federal Credit Union. For more than 25 years she faithfully served as a minister's wife, alongside her husband, Robert D. Redmond, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Harris and Mary Wear, and her granddaughter, Megan Nicole Redmond. She is survived by her sons Robert D. Redmond Jr. (Darla), Wesley C. Redmond (Kimberly), Jeffrey L. Redmond (Kelley), Matthew B. Redmond (Bethany), and ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister, Sherry Wear Richards (Sonny). The family will receive visitors from 5 - 7 PM, Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Elmwood Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Elmwood Chapel. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
