William (Willie/Pops) Luther Desmond, Sr., 68, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on September 5, 2024. Born on July 4, 1956, in Birmingham, Alabama, and is preceded in death by his wife and mother of his kids, Cherie Ann Desmond; his parents, Ronald (Old Des) and Sarah Desmond; brothers, Dale Desmond and Danny Desmond.
He is survived by his wife Charlene Pollitz; son, Sonny Desmond (Jenn Desmond); daughter, Jennifer Dawn Desmond; grandchildren, Talan, Alec, Levi, Julie, Miles, and Emma; sisters, Wendy Lloyd (Dwight Lloyd) and Alice Sullivan; and brother, Ray Desmond.
The family will host friends and family on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel from 10–11:30AM. The funeral service will be immediately following at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville at 12PM.
