William C. Duke, Jr., (Bill or Bo) was born in Birmingham, AL., but currently lived in Hueytown, AL. He passed away December 6, 2020. He attended Graymont Elementary, Phillips High and graduated from Shades Valley High. He was a military veteran as he served our country in the U S Navy. He worked for Jefferson County General Services Division for approximately 30 years and retired in 2006. He loved rock music, especially Led Zeppelin and ZZ Top. He also loved playing his guitars, watching NASCAR and Formula ONE racing. He was also known for his friendships, quick wit and humor. For approximately 25 years for his vacation trip, he traveled the Caribbean on the sail ship Polynesia and became great friends with the crews.
He is preceded in death by his parents William Crowell Duke, Sr. and Jewel Marie Hurley Duke. He is survived by his three sisters, Marcia Hurley Duke Champion, Mary Rosellen Duke Utley and Judith Elizabeth Duke McLaughlin and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Elmwood Cemetery on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
