He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Nell Pate; sons, Gregory Lee Pate and Randall Pate; grandson, Brandon Pate of Austin TX.
He graduated from West End High School. He served in the Korean War with the U.S. Air Force. He was a driver for ADE. He was a huge Alabama Fan.
His family will receive friends Thursday October 20, 2016 from 1-2 p.m. at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.
