William M. Sparks (Bubba), 77, of Birmingham, AL passed away on Apr. 29, 2018. He was born to the late William Sr. and Anne Sparks on Mar. 30, 1941 in Birmingham. Bubba was preceded in passing by his step-father, Gordon Sparks. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jean Sparks; his daughters, Dawn Cook and Tricia West (Lonnie); his brother, Robert Sparks (Diane); his step-brother, Gordon Sparks; grandchildren Megan Cooper (Corey), Chase Cook, and Sydney West; great-grandchildren Hallie and Eli; and other extended relatives and friends. He was a lifelong resident of Birmingham and worked as a salesman for various local companies. Bubba will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Wed., May 2 from 11 am - 12:30 pm at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. Graveside Service officiated by Pastor Thad Blount will follow at 1:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
