Wilma was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a graduate of Phillips High School, class of 1969. She was married to her high school sweetheart, David Reed, for 49 years. Wilma retired from the United States Postal Service after 24 years. She and David enjoyed their retirement and went on multiple cruises together. Wilma loved to dote upon her grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as "Grandmama". She was also a devoted fan of the University of Alabama football ("Roll Tide!"). She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Wilma is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband, David Reed; sons Jeffrey Reed, Brian (Karun) Reed, and Jason (Tiffany) Reed; sisters Betty Brasher, Barbara Bailey, and Linda Blake; grandchildren Thomas Reed, Sarah Reed, Susannah Reed, and Rachel Reed; as well as other relatives and many friends.
Wilma was preceded in passing by her brothers Bobby Booth, James Booth, and Timothy Booth.
A visitation for Wilma will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11:00 am at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, AL.
