Berancilla Nyirmugore

Berancilla Nyirmugore, 90, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in her son’s home. She was born January 1, 1933 in Mushubati Gitarama, Rwanda to Peter Runanira and Elisabeth Kanziga. She was a farmer.

Survivors include her son, Victor (Regina Niyonsaba) Gasana of Bloomington; her daughter, Providence Botne of Albuquerque, New Mexico; five grandchildren, Brekk Botne, Kelsey Botne, Sabrina Gasana, Josette Gasana and Giselle Gasana; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gakumba Murenzi; two children, Mary and Gasdgara; and several siblings.

Berancilla was a very devout Catholic, she prayed continuously. She enjoyed basket weaving, going to church, spending time with her family and doing house work.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, April 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 East Third Street, burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday April 13 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
