Hi Babs and family! I’m Kathy kleeman Hammond’s daughter. I wanted to tell you how much I cherished Betty. I got to know her during my time at IU 1991-1998. I am related to Betty through my grandmother, Velma Kleeman. Velma introduced me to Betty and she became cherished family to me while I was in Bloomington. She helped me to get a part time job at LS Ayers while I was a student. I loved her sense of humor...she was one of a kind for certain and never met a stranger. If it weren’t for that job, I would never have met my husband..I met him through a coworker ( he was in graduate school at the time)
Please note how much Betty touched me. We kept in touch for years. She was a dear sweet woman.
