Charles “Bill” William Beck, 69, of Bloomington, IN passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, April 3, 2012. He was born December 30, 1942 in Marion, IN and was raised in Hartford City, IN. He was the son of the late Dr. Charles William Beck and Dorothy Beck.
Bill worked at RCA – Thompson for 33 years, retiring as a superintendent. He was a member of the Indiana National Guard for 14 years. He enjoyed model trains, IU Basketball, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Kay Beck; his three daughters, Shelly (Tim) Gillespie, Stephanie (Jim) McDonald, and Jennifer Jones; his two sons, Matthew (Lucy) Klabon and Chad (Dawn) Klabon; a sister, Carol (Armand) Billieux; seven grandchildren, Carson, Parker, and Jadyn Gillespie, Miley McDonald, Gregory (Hanna) Clark, Jonathan (April) Clark, and Bill (Anna) Clark; eight great-grandchildren; and many other beloved family members.
Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Day Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 9, 2012 and on Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Day Funeral Home.
