Clovis Leroy Sexton

Clovis Leroy Sexton, 89, of Indianapolis and formerly Bloomington passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 in Northwest Manor Health Care in Indianapolis. He was born October 31, 1934 in Bloomington to Floyd Clovis Sexton and Edna Mae Robertson Sexton. He was a retired printer for the Indy Star.

Survivors include his daughter, Marsha Coburn of Champaign, Illinois; four grandchildren, Leslie, Joshua, Christina and Justin; three great grandchildren, Alec, Abigail and Liam; 2 great great grandchildren; a brother, Jerry Sexton of Bloomington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley Ann Sexton; and a daughter, Luanne Long.

Clovis was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed spending time with his family, painting, traveling, photography and playing various instruments.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:30 AM in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 East Third Street; burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Saturday prior to services from 10:30 – 11:30 AM.
