

Cora A. Sudbury, age 95, of Bloomington, passed away Monday in I. U. Health, Bloomington Hospital. Born February 8, 1917 in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, she was the daughter of Ralph and Grace (Caldwell) Eshelman. She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School in 1935 and married her husband Robert C. Sudbury on March 6, 1943. She was employed by Public Service Indiana (now Duke Energy) where she worked as a bookkeeper. She also helped her husband own and operate the family farm on Weimer Road in Bloomington for many years. She was an excellent cook as well as a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harvey and Mary Sudbury, of Bloomington and one grandson, Jeffrey Sudbury, of Jasper, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on February 5, 1981; two brothers, Roy and Joe Eshelman and one sister, Florence Margaret Eshelman Seitz.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Day Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rachel Pedersen officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 12 Noon to 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the M.C.C.S.C. Foundation earmarked to help the students at Fairview Elementary School.
