David Ray Ratliff

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David Ray Ratliff, who died on August 1 at the age of 46. Born on May 22, 1980, David lived a life marked by kindness, passion, and exuberance, bringing joy to the people around him. He was a devoted partner, father, brother, and son, and his warmth and humor left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

David worked as a manager at Novo Nordisk, earning respect for his dedication and integrity. Outside of work, he enjoyed reading, watching sports with family, hiking in nature, and spending time with his young son.

He is survived by Kaylee Ryan, Leo Ratliff, Ted Ratliff, Kathryn Moore (Stan), E. Fern Ratliff, Tamara Ratliff-Roberts (Brian), Treasa Ratliff, Bryan Pauley, Tamara Jane Ratliff, and Terry Ratliff; his nieces Elle (Gene), Riley, Anna, Ava, his nephew, Judah, and his best friend and cousin, Richie McDowell. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mary and Dave Pauley, and Claude Ratliff.

Those who knew David will remember him for his compassion, wit, and originality. His legacy lives on in the memories he created, the lives he brightened, and the love he shared. A private gathering will be held for the family.
