Diana Lynn Wible

Diane grew up in Bloomington and was a life long IU fan and proud to be a Hoosier. She graduated from Bloomington High School South in 1970. She still loved getting together with her Bloomington girlfriends and Gamma Phi Beta sisters. She got her bachelor’s degree in education at Indiana University in 1975. She received her Master’s of Education in 1988 from Miami of Ohio. After graduating college, Diane moved to Cincinnati where she lived for 50+ years. She taught kindergarten and first grade for 35 years at Jane Hoop Elementary School in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Diane loved crafting, shopping, journaling, horses, watching movies, but most of all spending time with family. She did not have any biological children but teaching kindergarten and 1st grade for 35 years, she had hundreds of children. She also treated her nephew and nieces like her own. Diane bought each one of her great nieces and nephews a Christmas tree for their room and handmade ornaments for them every year.

She is survived by her sister Holly (Mike) Deeg, nephew Ryan (Melissa) Deeg, nieces Abbey (Neil) Carr, Laura (Brett) Mackey, and Rachael Deeg. Great nieces and nephews Noah Deeg, Gabriel Deeg, Emma Deeg, Olivia Deeg, Brynnley Carr, Xander Carr, Maya Mackey, and Brooklynn Mackey. She is also survived by her aunt Edna Mitchell, many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Philip and Ruth Wible, aunts Mildred Harrell and Louis Duncan, and uncle Paul Wible.

Friends and family can visit Saturday, August 17th at Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home in Bloomington, Indiana from 11-1 with a service starting at 1pm. A burial will follow at Payne Cemetery in Bloomington, Indiana. The family would like to thank Heritage Center for their care and compassion over the past several months. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to More Than Conquerors- Africa which will be used to support education opportunities for needy children in Africa.
