

Dominic Oliverio, 50, died on November 30, 2019. He was born on May 28, 1969 in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Major Louis D. and Sandra Oliverio. He graduated from Columbus East High School in 1987 and Indiana University in 1992 with a BA in English.
Dominic worked in North Carolina, Ohio, and Boston in the financial industry but eventually settled in Boston and found his true calling as a chef. He met Alison in Boston and they worked together at various times as caterers. Dominic was proud of his Italian heritage and worked at many Italian restaurants in Boston. He also worked as corporate chef, and as the head caterer for the Kennedy library. He had a wide range of skills, working at a bakery in Jamaica Plain, MA, and most recently at Osteria Rago in Bloomington, Indiana. He and Alison visited Italy several times over the years, which influenced both his cooking and his lifestyle.
Dominic was a loving son, husband, and brother. He was easy going, kind, and enjoyed cooking for his friends and family. Sunday Brunch was one of his favorite meals. His version of Eggs Benedict was always a highlight for Christmas with the Canfield family.
Dominic was preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents, Adrian and Helen Minnick, and paternal grandparents, Dominic and Virginia Oliverio. He is survived by his wife Alison Canfield of Jamaica Plain, MA, mother, Sandra of Columbus, Indiana, sister Kathryn Oliverio Kinsey of Laurys Station, PA, and sister Linda Holloman (Mike Holloman) of Richmond, Virginia. He had many nieces and nephews that loved their Uncle Dom.
A remembrance service will be held in Clarksburg, West Virginia, when Dominic will be buried near his father and grandparents.
