

Donald Elmer Browning, age 83, passed away on July 29, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. Donald, also known as “Donnie” and “Brownie,” was born in Bloomington, Indiana on March 24, 1943 to parents Elmer and Pauline Browning. Donald was a lifelong resident of Unionville, Indiana. He was a proud army veteran who served his country during the 1960s. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, worked as a delivery driver for UPS for 18 years, and was employed at Curry Buick and Cadillac at the time of his well-deserved retirement.
Donald loved cars and guns, and was active in both hobbies. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, and was very active in the Sycamore Valley Gun Club. Donald was an avid hunter, and he also participated in pistol shooting matches. He was always tinkering with cars, and enjoyed attending car shows. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
Donald is survived by his children Deborah Webb, Theresa (Richard) Lawson, Lori (Tony) Lucas, Nathan (Brittany Allman) Browning, Luke (Jamie Sallee) Browning, Tamesa (Bart) Bruner; his former wife and partner Donna Browning; sister-in-law Jo Browning; grandchildren Jason Hampton, Daniel (Aurelie Heritier) Hampton, Sara Kurdziolek, Matthew Webb, Easton Dike, Sidney Dike, and Gunnar Browning; two great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Pauline (Floyd) Browning; brother Darrell Browning; daughter Karen Browning Kurdziolek; grandchildren Elijah Kurdziolek and Stephen Kurdziolek; and Ranger, his beloved German Shepherd.
